Palace House leads the celebrations of Easter in Newmarket: get set for an egg-cellant occasion!
Join us between Saturday 6th April and Monday 22nd April for a fun-packed weekend out for all the family to celebrate Easter in Newmarket. 10am – 5pm daily.
Hop around the King’s Yard galleries with our specially designed Easter ‘Gold’ Trail and have an egg-tastic time in our craft pod, creating an Easter master piece that you can take home to remind you of your visit. Our Community Engagement Trainee, Charley will be holding art and craft workshops on Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th and Monday 15th April between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Feeling a little peckish? Our onsite restaurant, The Tack Room will be open throughout the Easter holidays and their children's menu has something for everyone! After you've eaten head over to the Rothschild Yard to meet our super cute special guests Pip and Plum the miniature donkey's (between 19th and 22nd April only)
To celebrate the Easter Weekend there will be an Easter Egg Hunt around the whole 5-acre site, find all of the clues to reveal the secret message and claim your chocolate egg prize!
To make the most out of your day, don’t forget to explore all the galleries in the Museum and the abundance of beautiful artwork on display in the Palace which was built for Charles II and factor in time to meet our retired racehorses and find out what they do after racing, with our live demonstrations at 11.30am and 2.30pm.
Finally, your day won’t be complete without a visit to the racehorse simulator where you can dress up and experience the thrill of riding like a jockey!
