Over the summer holidays, the National Heritage Centre has been running a colouring competition for children of all ages.
Over 100 colouring sheets have been submitted within three age ranges; 3-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds, and 9-11 year olds. The winners were judged by Dr Patricia Hardy, Packard Curator at the National Heritage Centre on Friday 1st September. An array of brilliant Miss Melody prizes for 1st – 3rd place for each category have kindly been donated by Depesche, a supplier of children’s gifts in the Palace House Shop.

The colouring competition has been a brilliant addition to the children’s activities available here at the National Heritage Centre and we would like to thank Depesche for supplying all of the prizes. This is an initiative we will be rolling out for all the school holidays. The standard is fantastic and it has great to see families using our Picnic Room in the Rothschild Yard over the summer months. The Heritage Centre has been designed for families to enjoy and explore and the colouring competition is another activity to get involved in. We have a family audio guide, trails, explorer cases throughout the museum, the racehorse simulator and of course the live horses – enough to capture the imagination of every member of the family. Congratulations to everyone who has taken part and especially to our winners!
