Arts Award At Palace House

Palace House, Newmarket is proud to be a registered Arts Award Centre, meaning that members of our learning team are approved Arts Award advisers and can enable young people to achieve their Arts Awards through experiences linked with the Heritage Centre. Advisers can also assess portfolios of work, submitting successful candidates’ work for moderation and ultimately putting their names forward for awards.

What is Arts Award?

Arts Award supports young people, aged  5 to 25, as they enjoy the arts and encourages them to develop as artists and art leaders. It offers the chance to develop creativity, communication and leadership skills, and to be recognised through a national qualification- an Arts Award.

Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England.

Palace House is also an Arts Award Supporter, meaning that young people who are working for their Arts Award at other centres can find information or take part in workshops here which will contribute to their arts portfolio.

You can learn all about how Palace House supports the Arts Award and how you can get involved by coming to see our Arts Award display in the main atrium of Palace House. This display will be up until 1st September 2018.
