Fred Rickaby, 'Rick', published in 190, Artist : Sir Leslie Ward, 'Spy'

Fred Rickaby was thirty five years old at the time of his sitting, or rather standing, for the painting and this published antique print in 1901. Having been recognised as a good jockey by his late teens, he had matured into a 'fine horseman'. He rode for Lord Durham at a weight of eight stone five. Although Fred rode notably less mounts than many other jockeys of the day, he amassed a good tally of wins, including the 1,000 Guineas and the Oaks.

All prints are 26 x 40 cm and supplied unframed and un-mounted. They are antique chromolithographs and come with a certificate of authenticity.
