Photographic Workshop

Saturday 2nd March I 11am - 4pm I £45 per person

Bring your cameras along and spend the day learning the art of photography with photographers Tove Hanson and Alli Miller. You will spend the day developing the skill of photographing live horses in our very own Rothschild Yard, work with our beautiful equine residents and discover the beauty of the thoroughbred horse through the lens.

Art in Mind

From Wednesday 6th March I 10.30am - 12pm I £15 for 6 sessions

This weekly programme for adults runs on Wednesday mornings from 6 March to 10 April. Participants work alongside artist Juliet Lockhart to create their own artwork inspired by the art, culture and heritage at Palace House.  The aim of the programme is to provide a rich learning experience and to promote mental wellbeing. The course is suitable for those with no previous experience through to those with formal art training.

An Evening With Felicity Ashton MBE

Friday 8th March I 7pm - 8.30pm I £15 per ticket including a glass of Prosecco on arrival

In 2006 Felicity was part of the first all-female British expedition across Greenlands ice sheet, in 2012 she became the first person to ski alone across the Antartic land mass using only personal muscle power as well as being the first woman to cross the Antartic land mass alone. Felicity will be discussing these great feats as well as her participation in our 100 First Women exhibition.

An Evening With John Pinfold

Friday 22nd March I 7pm - 8.30pm I £15 per ticket including a glass of Prosecco on arrival

John Pinfold is an independent historian based in Oxford and brought up in Liverpool, a recognised authority on the history of the race, he will be discussing his most recent book Aintree: The History of the Racecourse.

100 First Women Portraits by Anita Corbin

14th February - 10th June I Mon - Sat 10am - 4pm Sun 11am - 4pm I Included in general admission

100 First Women will be a visually arresting and immersive exhibition, featuring contemporary photographic portraits of celebrities and famous personalities from across the decades including explorer Felicity Aston, First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, business leader Dame Inga Beale, singer-songwriter Suzi Quatro and jockey Hayley Turner.
