The Thirty Assassins: Faces of The Palio by Marco Delogu

Until 3rd November I 10am - 4pm I Included in general admission

In this exhibition, photographer Marco Delogu has captured a remarkable series of portraits of jockeys who have participated in the historic race in Siena, the Palio. Also featured in the exhibition will be a selection of Delogu’s most recent works, equestrian studies inspired by the horses painted by Italian Mannerist Cavalier d’Arpino in the 16th and 17th-centuries.

King George IV: Royalty, Racing and Reputation

George IV not only assembled an unrivalled collection of art but was also a prominent patron of horseracing and of Newmarket. This exhibition looks at his passions, his pursuits and his contorversies – notably the notorious Newmarket scandal of 1791
